Having people play through an unfinished server just because they could is actively negative to anyone wanting servers to have an actual community around them.īeing able to hardlock yourself by interacting with half of the menus in the game is not a good end user experience. The simple fact is 'going on a quest' is not the entirety of a game with twelve years of expansions. Lots of core server functionality remains unfinished. Public exposure on a larger scale is undesirable. This is taking longer than you'd like because the intention is to do it correctly rather than quickly.
There is a github set up to see general progress which is public, this includes things such as modding and custom quests and is not solely related to the server work, nor is it always accurate to work that has taken place. It's important to keep in mind the ongoing work in all aspects is very ad hoc in nature, there is not a centralised team or plan and it's mostly just me actively working on it for a while now.
